We want to say happy Wednesday morning to our international Daily Word family members. I want to say God bless you, and this is another wonderful day that God has blessed us with. As we come before you this morning, we want to just give God the glory.
Father, forgive me of sin. As I come before your people, Father, to give the word of God that you have placed in my heart. Let the hearers be blessed.
We take authority over the demonic forces that will come to attack your people. But Father, through this word, let them receive how to take the word back to the enemy and defeat him and dominate. In Jesus’ name, we pray.
Amen. All right, family, you know, we are continuing with the question, why does the enemy want you to focus so hard on circumstances, trials and tests? And we covered a lot of things over the lessons over the past, but the one we’re focusing on now is because the enemy wants you to fall into fear.
And it’s real, real simple. It’s not complicated. You know, if he can get you in fear, then you simply are advocating the authority and power that you have through the powerful name of Jesus.
That’s right. Satan don’t want you to know that the kingdom of God is come nigh. That’s right.
You’re operating in kingdom principles. Remember, you are sons and daughters of the Most High God. Amen.
You were created in the image and likeness of God. You are somebody special. So, if the enemy can get you to operate in fear, then all of these powerful things that you have and that God has made provisions for you to operate in, you advocate them.
And therefore, you’re just walking around anxiety and worry and all this stuff like that. The enemy is just having a filled day. Remember, the Word of God says Satan is as a roaring lion, walking to and fro throughout the land, seeking who he may devour.
So, when you look at that, he’s really looking. He’s not omnipresent like God. He doesn’t know as much as people give him credit for.
People get it, all the devil did is the devil did that. Many times, it’s not the devil. It’s you opening your mouth and saying stupid stuff that you really shouldn’t say.
Speaking negative things about yourself or speaking negative things about your loved ones, opening your mouth, you literally can be cursing your own self. And Satan’s sitting back and laughing. I wasn’t even around.
But if he can plant the thought in your mind and get you to open your mouth and begin to say things and say things out of the will of God and out of context, amen, then you can begin to do more damage on yourself and the enemy has nothing to do with that. He doesn’t even have anything. We can be doing damage to our own self by speaking negative.
Oh, I’m catching this cold. Well, I think you just need to run a little bit faster. Amen.
I’m not letting any cold catch me. Amen. Watch what you’re saying.
Remember, we can advocate our authority with our mouth simply by speaking and saying the wrong things. Amen. But listen, we have authority through the name of Jesus.
I love in Luke, Jesus sent the disciples out, and he gave them specific orders and told them exactly what to do, what to say when they entered into a city. He gave them good orders. Go back and read it in the 10th chapter of Luke.
The thing that we love more is that when they returned, when they returned to Jesus, they were so excited. Those disciples were so excited, and amen. I know they’re excited.
I’ve been in those situations where I’ve prayed and saw God do miracles, and it is so, so very exciting. So in Luke 10 and 17, we note the fact that the 70 returned again. Remember, Jesus sent them out by twos to cities and all around.
Let them know the harvest is ripe, the labor is a few. Go out there and do everything in my name, and when you heal people, you tell those people after you lay hands in their heel that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. Listen, the 70 return with joy, the Bible says, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through your name.
You know what? That has not changed. The Word of God says he’s the same today, yesterday, and forevermore.
So the same way those disciples utilize and use the name of Jesus, letting them know that the kingdom of God has come nigh unto you, well, that hasn’t changed. The same way and the same way we operate in the same authority now. See?
So when they said that, the disciples were so very excited. And I love Jesus’ response in verse 18. Jesus said, y’all think that’s something?
Look, I beheld Satan as lightning falling from heaven. Whoa! So he came right back with that.
But then he turned around and told him, hey, that’s cool. But check this out. Behold.
Now, recognize this. Behold. I’ve given unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
So now you have authority just like I, you’ve seen me operate and you went out and you saw it in action and you have that authority and that power. And I’m giving you that to use. You use that because we’re dealing against forces that you’re gonna need my power and authority in order to operate, in order to continue to be victorious in every area of your life.
So you don’t have to walk in fear or torment because remember, I’ve given you that authority through the name of Jesus. At the name of Jesus, the Word of God says, every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess. So amen.
God knows that Satan and his demonic forces have a time and that they’re gonna be thrown in the lake of fire. But meanwhile, they’re creating havoc on this earth. So this is the authority that we have.
So this is the reason why the enemy want you to focus. If you focus on the negative things in your life, you’re not gonna be focusing on God or his blessings. Amen.
Note the word in James 4 and 7. It says, submit yourself therefore into God. Resist.
Resist. In other words, God wants you to give Satan. Satan needs to have a pushback.
Amen. He shouldn’t just roll up on you. Amen.
You need to push back. And what you have to push back is by submitting yourself. But when you submit, amen, that’s a voluntary act of surrender.
Amen. You’re submitting your will, your desires, and your authority to a higher power and authority. So that higher power authority is our most high God.
And so as we submit yourself therefore into God, and he says, resist the devil and he will flee. In other words, the enemy is going to recognize the authority and power because you’re submitting because of the fact is who you have backing you. What you have backing you is the forces of the most high God.
You have the kingdom of God backing you. So you have authority and power that is backing you. You’ve accepted or you’ve yielded to a superior force or to authority and your will to another.
And what you’ve yielded is your will to the most high God. And so therefore you have authority and you have backing. Now, once you do that, then you can drop down to verse four and eight, and it says, draw none to God.
Now, it’s not going to work if you’re not willing to submit yourself in to God, then you’re not going to be able to draw an eye into Him. No, no, because your whole heart, everything’s got to be all in as we left off yesterday. So as you submit, as you draw closer to God, then God’s going to go to you.
And with that comes a lot of benefits. As I shared in the lesson, there’s a blessing in obedience, simply by blessing, obedience. And then when you come to Him, you can’t come to Him dirty.
Sometimes you watch Judge Judy, and sometimes I watch her shows. And she said, you can’t come to court dirty with your unclean hands. And she always make this.
In other words, don’t ask me to adjudicate your case and come to find out you are wrong. And you’re wrong. And now you want me to render a verdict on a defendant, but you’re the plaintiff, and you’re coming to hear wrong.
So when we come before God, it doesn’t hurt you just to stoply simp, just like you hear me do every single time before I speak. You hear me say, God forgive me of sin. In other words, I recognize as a human being, every second of the day, you can do something wrong, your wrong thought, wrong motives, anything.
Listen, why even bother? Don’t have any pride to it. I don’t have any pride.
Lord, forgive me of sin. And I do this before I go to bed. I do it when I get up in the morning to pray.
Amen. I ask God to forgive me because, listen, I don’t want anything standing between me and God. When I come to God, amen, the word of God says, boldly come to the throne of grace that you may obtain mercy and find grace in your time of need.
So therefore, if I’m in a time of need, I don’t want the enemy who accuses the brother day and night to say, hold on, Lord. That brother just, ba ba ba ba ba. But now, if you come before the Lord and say, Lord, forgive me of sin, you just clear the slate.
The enemy, like, he get ready to stay, he get ready to open up. But Lord, and then Jesus who’s sitting at the right hand of the throne of God say, just hold your peace. That brother is clean.
He just ask forgiveness of sin. His sin is wiped away. So therefore, don’t walk in an attitude of pride.
Don’t get in pride and not submit yourself. Don’t get in pride and arrogance and think you’re so righteous before God and you have not even vowed or asked God to forgive you. Clear the slate so that when you draw an eye on to God, he’ll draw an eye on to you.
And then he says, cleanse your hands, ye sinners, and purify your hearts, ye devil-minded. So when you come to God, amen, and you submit yourself in to God, don’t submit yourself in to God, and then tomorrow you’re back out in the world, and next week when you get in trouble now, you’re back with God. People try to pimp God.
Yeah, they try to treat God like he’s a vending machine. I’ll go to God as long as I’m in trouble, like a jailhouse prayer. You know, as soon as they get out of jail, they forget everything they said to God and every promise they made.
Well, we’re out of time. I’ll be back with you tomorrow.
🎙️ Summary:
FEAR vs FAITH Pt. 3 – “Circumstances, Trials & Tests” reminds us not to surrender our authority by giving in to fear. The enemy uses trials to shift our focus away from God. But when we submit to God, resist the devil, and speak life, we walk in kingdom power. Through Jesus, we have divine authority to defeat the enemy and live free from fear, worry, and doubt.
🔑 3 Key Takeaways:
-
Fear Weakens Authority – Fear causes us to give up the spiritual power God gave us.
-
Watch Your Words – Speaking negatively gives the enemy a foothold.
-
Submit & Resist – Submitting to God empowers us to resist the devil and stand in victory.
