Fear vs. Faith (Part 7): A Holy Fear That Builds Faith

Fear vs. Faith (Part 7): A Holy Fear That Builds Faith

Are you excited about today? I sure am!
I’m so grateful just to be alive, and I don’t take anything for granted.

I thank God for the ability to wake up, walk, see, and hear. To have hands that function, a voice to speak, ears to listen, and eyes to see—it’s all a blessing. We should never take these things lightly, because there are people who are struggling in areas we often overlook. But God has blessed you—and for that, we show gratitude.

Lord, I thank You for providing shelter. Some people don’t have a place to call home. Some are homeless and searching for comfort, but here we are—safe, covered, and loved. Thank You, God, for a healthy family and for blessing and protecting our homes. Truly, God is good all the time.

You might say, “Pastor KBN, you seem pretty excited this morning.” No—I’m just grateful. I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for the goodness of God.

So, let’s get started. I’m truly excited this morning. Thank you for being with us!

Let’s pray:
Father, forgive me of any sin. As I stand before Your people today, I surrender myself to You. Use my mouth and voice to audibly speak the words You’ve placed in my spirit. May the believers be edified, built up, and encouraged today. Let what You’ve placed on my heart bring revelation and inspiration to them. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen and amen.

We’re continuing with our series: “Why the Enemy Works So Hard to Distract Us with Negativity.”
He wants us to dwell on trials, tests, and tough circumstances. The enemy wants us to live in fear—what I call the “big F-bomb” for believers.

But this morning, I want to ask you something: Is there such a thing as good fear?

Let me explain. The word is “awe.”

In the Bible, awe is a profound emotion that combines fear, reverence, and honor—especially in relation to God. The Hebrew word “yirah” is often translated as “fear” but also means awe, reverence, respect, and worship. It appears throughout Scripture and is closely associated with recognizing God’s holiness, power, and authority.

Awe is foundational to wisdom and understanding. It’s more than an emotion—it’s a disposition, a heart posture. Awe is a response to who God is and what He has done through creation, provision, redemption, and judgment.

Biblical Examples of Awe:

Let’s look at Luke 8:23–25:

“But as they sailed, He fell asleep. And a storm of wind came down on the lake; and they were filled [with water], and were in jeopardy. And they came to Him, and awoke Him, saying, ‘Master, Master, we perish!’ Then He arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm. And He said unto them, ‘Where is your faith?’ And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, ‘What manner of man is this! For He commands even the winds and water, and they obey Him.’”

That’s awe.

Have you ever personally experienced an angelic encounter? I remember one from my childhood. The house was dark, and we weren’t supposed to be awake, but my siblings and I were running around playing. Suddenly, the lights went out, and we saw a glowing angel. We were terrified—we ran upstairs and hid under the bed!

Here’s another moment of awe from Mark 16:

“And entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white robe; and they were alarmed. But he said to them, ‘Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him. But go, tell His disciples—and Peter—that He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him, as He said to you.’”
—Mark 16:5–7, NKJV

Awe. Reverence. Shock. Holy fear. That’s what happens when you witness God’s hand in action.

Proverbs 1:7 says:

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”
This isn’t “fear” as in being scared. It’s reverent respect—an acknowledgment of God’s authority and holiness.

When you fear God rightly, you begin to walk in wisdom. You submit to His will, and the Holy Spirit begins to guide, warn, and direct you. You gain insight and sound judgment simply by acknowledging God.

It’s a game-changer.

I love how David, when he sinned, would always return to God. What he feared most was not punishment—but separation from God’s presence.

Let’s look again at Proverbs 1:7, through different translations:

  • NIV: “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”

  • New Century Version: “Knowledge begins with respect for the Lord, but fools hate wisdom and discipline.”

  • Holman Christian Standard: “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and discipline.”

Let that settle in your spirit.

Have you ever tried to give advice to someone who just couldn’t receive it? Like talking to a brick wall? That’s what Proverbs means by a fool—someone who rejects wisdom and discipline.

But when you reverence God, when you walk in awe of Him, knowledge begins to flow.

Listen, we’re out of time for today, but I’ve got so much more to share. So let’s pick this up again tomorrow.

I love you. Be encouraged. And remember: the fear (awe) of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

God bless you, and I’ll see you again tomorrow.

Conclusion:

The fear of the Lord isn’t about terror—it’s about reverence. Embrace awe, gain wisdom, and unlock peace that surpasses understanding through a holy fear that draws you closer to God.

Takeaways:

  • Fear of the Lord is rooted in awe and reverence, not fear of punishment.

  • Reverence leads to wisdom, clarity, and strength in daily life.

  • The enemy uses fear to distract you from God’s power.

  • Holy fear produces peace, stability, and spiritual maturity.

  • God’s presence becomes more real when you honor Him with awe.

Fear vs. Faith (Part 7): A Holy Fear That Builds Faith

Fear vs. Faith (Part 6): The F-Bomb the Enemy Wants You to Drop—FEAR. But God says, “Fear not, I am with you.”

Father, forgive me of sin. As I open my mouth, Father, use my words to edify the believers. Let those that are here be built up, and be excited about serving you, I know that you will never leave them, nor forsake them.

I give you praise in Jesus’ name, Amen. We’re continuing with why Satan wants the believers to focus on their circumstances, trials, and tests. Well, because he wants believers to focus on the believers’ F-bomb.

That is fear. All right, you heard that here first on KCI Kingdom Ministries, Pastor KBN. The believers’ F-bomb.

Fear. And as we stated in our last lesson, our lesson before that, fear began in the garden, of course, in Genesis 3 and 10. But I love 3 and 9 because God came looking for them, and at the end of 3 and 9, He says, Where art thou?

And, of course, in Genesis 3 and 10, Adam answered and said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid. There you go. Where fear began in the garden.

And because I was naked and I hit myself. So there, of course, we know the fact of when he got in sin, then fear came in. Now, let’s stick a pin in that right there.

Now, that’s a valid point, because if you notice that as soon as Adam got in sin, they hid, him and Eve hid. And it’s no difference than today. When people make errors, instead of running to God, they run away from God.

They separate themselves from God and try to hide, as if God doesn’t know. You know, it’s simpler just to go back to God and just do like David did. It’s like, Father, I blew it.

I flat out made mistake. God already knows it. So we might as well just already just go to God and just simply ask forgiveness.

And that’s one of the things that you notice that I always do before every lesson. And I’ve shared this over and over again. And I’m believing that it’ll just spread across the whole world, that people will just begin to just simply ask God to forgive them.

Before you go to bed, before I start the lesson, when I get up in the morning, Father, just forgive me. None of us are perfect. You’re going to make an error.

But don’t run from God and alienate yourself. And that was what Satan worked to do. How can I alienate Adam and Eve from God?

How can I separate them? And sin was the separation. So therefore, when you make an error, don’t run from God, run to Him.

Let’s look at Isaiah 41 and 10. But I just want to remind you, believers, it is said in the Bible, there is over 365 fears not in the Bible. I wonder, did God know that we would need to say to ourself or take into our circumstances, trials, and tests, hey, I don’t fear you.

I’ve got authority over you. I am more than a conqueror through the blood of Jesus. I have authority over you in Luke 10 and 19.

I bind fear. I cast fear down. God knew that we would need it.

So he reminds us over 365 times, fear not. Now, let’s go to Isaiah 41 10. It says, fear thou not, for I am with thee.

Be not dismayed, for I am God. I will strengthen thee, yea. I will help thee, yea.

I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. You see, believers, when the enemy comes in like a flood, you need the word of God to lift up a standard against him. Isaiah 41 10.

The Bible promises so much for us. God’s presence, His strength, His help. It can be a source of comfort when the enemy challenges you.

Take that word and lift up that standard. You know, in Isaiah 41 10, God made five promises to us. He promises that, I am with you.

We envision Moses standing before Pharaoh. And as Moses goes and he is asked, God, who should I say sent me? And God told him, tell him, I am sent you.

And guess what? Today, we’re talking about the same God who never changes. His word doesn’t change.

He is there for us and he is saying, I am with you. Aren’t you glad he is with you today? Remember, he will never leave you nor forsake you.

And as we said last week, so never leave or forsake him. You see, I don’t know who I’m speaking to this morning because the enemy may be trying a swarming attack on you. You may feel so overwhelmed that you don’t seem to know where to turn.

But that’s all right. Remember, have the confidence that you can reach up and go to God. Remember, just don’t run from God.

You may have made a mistake this morning. You may have made an error, but don’t run from him, but run to him. And when the enemy swarms you, know that God is saying, I am with you.

I am your God. I will help you. I will strengthen you.

I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Oh, yeah, the right hand, the hand that demonstrates power and authority. Jesus is sitting at the right hand of the throne of God.

I am with you. God will be with you. He will walk with you.

He will be by your side. You may not see him. You may not even feel him or hear him.

You may not even drink, but he’s there. Don’t give up. Don’t give in.

Just trust at God’s promises. Listen, take the time to think about God’s promises and the good plans that he has for us. Go back and read Jeremiah 29 and 11.

I know the thoughts that I think toward you, thoughts of peace and not of evil, that give you an expected end. You are on earth for a reason. You are somebody special.

God didn’t waste time making junk. You are very, very special. And even though the enemy tries to make you feel worthless, the Satan is a liar.

Remember, the Bible says, and he is the author of lies. You are God’s sons and daughter. Get up, go to God, and reach out to him.

Take the time to look at God’s promises and the plans. Listen, that alone should revive our spirits and fill us with hope and expectation and excitement. God’s word also strengthens us to keep going, not give up, not give into temptations.

The truth is, we need God’s strength just to make it through each day. Listen, don’t give in to the fear of the enemy. Remember, fear separates you from God, just like sin.

These verses can apply to our lives today by reminding us, God is with us in the midst of our trials, and in the midst of circumstances, we can trust Him. It also is an invitation to release our anxieties and replace them with the trust of God. Believers, I have no idea what you are facing today.

We’re speaking to believers all over the world today, internationally. I have no idea what you’re facing today, but I know the Spirit of the Lord is saying to you, giving you His Word, Isaiah 41 and 10. Fear not, for I am with you.

Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. I will help you.

I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. When we feel alone and overcome with fear, we can focus on the truth that God is with us. Remember Hebrews 13, 5b.

He says, For he said, I will never leave you, nor forsake you. Remember Philippians 4, 7, and 8. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your heart and mind through Christ Jesus.

Finally, my brother, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report. If there be any virtue, if there be any praise, think on these things. We’re out of time.

Look, I’ll be back with you tomorrow. God bless you.

Fear vs. Faith (Part 7): A Holy Fear That Builds Faith

Fear vs. Faith (Part 5): Peace Over Panic: Trusting God Through Every Trial

Just excited about being back here, and so grateful to God to be alive and well. Let’s get started. Father, forgive me of sin.

As I come before Your people, Father, use my mouth. You said as I open my mouth, You will fill it. Let Your wisdom, let Your guidance, let Your revelation knowledge come forth.

Let it edify the believers, and all that He’ll be built up and encouraged, so to inspire to stand and trust You even more. I give You praise in Jesus’ name. Amen and amen.

As we continue our lesson with trials, circumstances, and tests, and the enemy’s effort to create an atmosphere of fear, yet the beautiful thing is that we have authority through the name of Jesus. 2nd Timothy 1 verse 7 says, For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. That is so very exciting.

Let’s go back to Genesis 3 verse 10. Let’s see where fear began in the Bible. And this is the response from Adam in Genesis 3 verse 10.

And he said, I heard the voice of God in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked, and I hid myself. Here, it is clear to see that the root of fear is alienation from God. And the root of alienation from God is sin.

So you see when Adam got in fear, only because he was in sin, and then he separated himself from God. So let’s look at this. If we walk with God as Adam did before the fall, we will have fellowship with the Most High God.

It is so exciting to say that Jesus himself made this all possible by coming into the world, into a physical body. Being tempted as you and I, but yet without sin. Then he went to the cross and gave his life.

He died on the cross, taking all of our sin, sickness, and death to the grave. Then he rose again in three days with victory over sin, death, and the grave. And right now, our Lord, saviour, our big brother, Jesus, is sitting at the right hand of the throne of God.

And you know what? He is making intercessions for you and I right now. In other words, he got you back.

Let’s go back and dig a little bit more into Isaiah 26 and 3. The word of God says, I will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee. Why?

It says because he trusteth in thee. Now, the verse is telling us that true peace comes from fully trusting in God and keeping your mind focused on him. Let’s talk about perfect peace.

This is referring to a deep inner peace that cannot be shaken by external circumstances. You hear that? So we’ve been teaching on why the enemy works so hard to get us to focus on circumstances, trials and tests.

Well, because he don’t want you to have the perfect peace that we’re talking about here. That refers to a deep inner peace that cannot be shaken. External circumstances.

I shared with you early this week, I don’t remember exactly which day, that Cynthia and I had encountered some things, and we looked at each other and I said, I can’t even find worry. I can’t find it in me. It’s like when the news came, it didn’t shake me, it didn’t even bother me.

It’s like, yeah, it was something that should have, but when you stand and learn to operate in this mindset that I’m teaching you, you can get to the point where circumstances, trials, tests come, you already know that God has already given you the victory. Remember the word of God said, and they overcame them by the blood of the lamb and the words of their testimony. What is the them?

Them are the circumstances, trials, and tests that God knew that you would be facing, and you’ve overcome them. Note this, that the word says, thou will keep him. He said, I will keep you.

Let’s make it personal. I’ll keep you in perfect means, perfect peace, if you will keep your mind stayed on me, because, how can I do that? It’s going to be because you trust in me.

That’s what God is talking to you personally. Let’s talk about whose mind is stayed on me. This means having a mind that is fixed on God.

Hold on to your hat, not wavering or distracted by other things. So what I’m teaching you, you can live in a state of God consciousness. You can live in a state where you’re not wavering, you’re not distracted.

Yes, you’re accomplishing your daily job, but in a God consciousness, you’re always connected with God. Hearing God’s voice speak to you softly, giving you directions on your job and different things that you’re facing and different challenges, whatever you’re coming in contact with, the Spirit of the Lord is there speaking and instructing you and guiding you. And let’s talk about because he trusted indeed.

Let’s deal with that part of the scripture. The foundation of this piece is complete trust in God’s power and faithfulness. You see, I believe that Isaiah was conveying that perfect peace is possible even today.

The kingdom of God provides this right now to believers that will focus their minds on God and trust him. You see, perfect peace is not a state without challenges or circumstances, trials and tests. That’s not what we’re saying.

However, it does mean that in the midst of your challenges, trials and tests, you can operate in peace of God’s with confidence, knowing that in the midst of the storm, God is there to navigate you through it. Oh yes, note this, I am speaking of a peace that is rooted in God. Peace that cannot be lost.

Peace that goes beyond human comprehension in Jesus’ name. It’s like I was sharing with you. I don’t remember what that challenge was that I was faced with, but we looked at each other, I said, you know what, I can’t find worry.

I just can’t, because just years of going through test trials and seeing God work through things and work out stuff, simply we just had peace. We’re like, I can’t find worry. I can’t find anxiety in this.

I know God has got this. That’s the state of mind that I’m speaking. You can do it.

You can live there in this state of mind. Remember, I am speaking of a peace that is rooted in God. And that’s what I’m saying.

Our peace was rooted in God. So even when the circumstance trial came, the enemy could not steal it. He could not bring in fear and rattle us, because that peace that cannot be lost, peace that goes beyond human comprehension.

So even your friends or your loved ones, they see you going through stuff, and because you are rooted in God, they can’t comprehend how you’re able to deal with this. They’re looking like, how are you not rattled? How are you not frustrated?

How are you not going out of your mind? Then you will have an opportunity to minister. That’s where it comes back where the Bible says, your feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of Peace.

That’s your opportunity. That’s your moment. Now you can begin to share with your loved ones and encourage them and speak to them, and this will help them.

Remember, the Hebrew word for peace is shalom. This verse literally reads, You keep him in peace, peace whose mind is stayed on you. The definition of shalom is to be well, happy, friendly, healthy, and prosperous.

We’re almost at the end already. Listen, let me give you a quick ways to keep your peace. Number one, watch your consumption of things of this world, taking in the news, watch watching the news.

The news ain’t giving you nothing but negatively, they never tell you nothing happy. Also reading your Bible, spending more time with God in your secret place, praying continuously in the spirit, thanking God for everything, even in the midst of your trial, he said, count it all joy. Singing praise often to God, pray with other people concerning their issues, helping them to trust God.

Well, we’re out of time. Rejoice and praise God. I love you.

God bless you.

Fear vs. Faith (Part 7): A Holy Fear That Builds Faith

Fear vs. Faith (Part 4): Trusting God Through Life’s Storms

Let’s get started. Father, forgive me of sin. As I come before your people, I’m just excited about what you have placed in me to give to them.

Use my mouth in every word, that they can be edified, built up, and encouraged, Father. I know someone may be going through a challenge, but let this be something that inspires them to trust more in you. I give you praise, glory and honor, in Jesus’ name, amen.

We’re continuing with this morning, how the enemy works so hard to get you to focus on your circumstances, trials, and tests, is because the enemy wants to spark that fear. He wants that big F-word to just blow up, and he wants you to really, really get in fear. But the Word of God in 2nd Timothy 1 and 7 says, for God has not given us the spirit of fear.

See, that’s not something that God gave us. He said, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. So we read in our last lesson that perfect love casts out all fear.

So therefore, fear and faith don’t operate the same space. You know, I was meditating as I was preparing last night for this lesson and studying. The Lord just really, really ministered to me to go back and find photos of the studio and to send those out to you guys that prepare you for today’s lesson.

It’s because one of the things I shared with you, we’re not practicing what we preach. We’re preaching the things that we’ve actually lived through. This is stuff that we live through and we exist.

This is how we live. And so we’re sharing this with you so that you can take this and help you. You may be going through something, facing something right now.

I don’t know internationally, we’re speaking to Daily Word members all over the world. So we don’t know who’s going through what right now. But I am so believing that this is going to minister to you.

I know it is because God had me bring it up. Now when you look at the photos I sent you, we had just completed the studio in 2015 and of course a year later, then I come downstairs one morning and what? My whole entire basement is under a photo of water.

We had a really major flood here in St. Louis and everything was completely under water. So you know the first thing the enemy wants you to do is what? Get in fear.

He wants you to get upset. He wants you to act like Joe’s wife. What did Joe’s wife tell him?

Why don’t you just curse God and die? So he wants you to really get up. Oh God, why you did this?

Oh God, no, no, no, no, no, no. That ain’t how you roll. See, when you stab, notice this.

God has not given us the spirit of fear, but what of power and of love and of a sound mind. So regardless of the circumstance, the trial, the test come up, you remain calm. Remember, you got a sound mind, so you’re not freaking out.

And I’m so glad that the first words that came out of my mouth was, oh God, the Lord is about to give me a brand new recording studio. That was the first thing that came out of my mouth. God was, I looked out there and I saw opportunities.

I saw what God showed me what he’s got planned. Now here’s the deal that goes along with it. There is a process, and as I told you, look at a nine year or nine year walk, a nine year walk of faith.

Amen, of never backing down, every day speaking faith, every day thanking God, every day believing for each thing. Now I’m not going to really get into that process because I really, really want to go back and teach the process because you really got to see it because you’re talking nine years of exercise and standing by faith. But the part I want you to focus on is the fact that you do not allow fear when you’re faced with circumstances and this stuff is real.

So that’s why I wanted you to show you the pictures because you like, man, what are you talking about? No, no, no, we’re teaching you what we have lived. Now the Word of God says in Isaiah 26 and 3, it says, Thou will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee.

Now, because what? Because he trusteth in thee. Now, I want to tell you something.

It is so good to lay down in peace. That’s right. The Word of God says, don’t let the sun go down in your wrath.

But I’m taking it a step farther in the sense that I want to encourage you, watch the movies that you watch. Watch the music that you listen to. Watch the diet of information that you are taking into your senses before you go to bed.

Some of the things I’ve taught you about is that in the morning before every… I like to pray when I start. I always ask God to forgive me.

And also before I go to bed, I ask God to forgive me. And I also have learned to watch what movies are, watch entertainment, watch what you’re taking into your senses before you lay down. You need to lay down at peace, lay down with worshiping God.

I go to bed, the last thing I do is worshiping God and asking God to forgive me of sin. This way, I am laying down in a state of peace. See, what does that have to do with me getting up, looking at all that water in my studio?

Well, I lay down in that state of mind. So when you wake up, you could be woke up in an emerging situation. Where’s your mind when you wake?

Where are you when you get up out of your sleep? Well, it’s a, thou will keep you in perfect peace whose mind. So if you go down, you lay down with your mind state on him, the guess what?

That’s what you’re going to wake up with your mind. So when I woke up, thank God, my mind was in a state of peace, and I didn’t freak out, I didn’t panic. Amen

Everything is underwater. I didn’t think about all the money that was down there, all the equipment and stuff like that. I didn’t freak out.

Yes, we had to go through and do the work. Yes, I had to strap on my boots. Yeah, we had to get in there.

And the process, and like I said, I’m not going to deal with the process. I mainly am dealing with the fear aspect. The enemy wants to get you rattled.

He wants to get you out of that sound mind and get you out of faith, because if he can get you rattled, amen, you advocate the blessings, you advocate the process, you don’t glean all that God has for you to glean, amen. Look at the mess that comes out of this. I’ve got so much to teach you guys just on this process of nine years of dealing with this and trusting God and believing God, never backing down, never giving up, amen.

And listen, as I told you in the rest, that was the first of three floods. Are you getting this? So, it’s tough not to really get into it right now, but let’s stick with this.

Isaiah 49, 41 and 10 says, fear not, for I am with thee. Be not dismayed, for I am God. That’s the same thing God instructed Moses.

Tell Pharaoh, I am sent you. That’s right. I am the most high God.

And guess what? He is still I am. He is still my I am.

He is still your I am. I am whatever you need. He is that.

He is that for us. And he says, for I am God. I will strengthen thee, yea.

I will help thee, yea. I will uphold thee. Here we go.

With thy right hand of my righteousness. And we did that study on his right hand. Jesus is sitting at the right hand of the throne of God, making intercessions for us right now.

See, that’s why we can’t afford to advocate our authority and give away what we have. That’s why we can’t get in fear, because you have so much behind you. You have so much back in you.

And so you have to continue to stand regardless what it looks like. Daily Word family members internationally, I don’t know what you’re facing this morning. Some of you are maybe facing major things and don’t know what to do.

I’m going to tell you what to do. What you’re going to do is take your stand and go to God and lift up your hands and begin to praise God, Father. He said, he said, count it all joy.

When your faith is tried, count it all joy. Like Pastor KBN, you don’t understand. Yes, I do.

Fifty years of just being in this going through list, my wife and I have been together. Man, you have no idea all the stuff we’ve been through. We’ve been on death’s edge behind the gospel.

So don’t tell me I don’t know. I don’t know at all. But I do know that in every single circumstance, trial and test that God was there, he never failed me.

Now listen, he said, I will never leave you nor fail you. But the problem is people are leaving and failing him. Oh yeah.

See, see, he’s not going to leave you or fail you. But the question is, are you leaving and failing him? Have things gotten too rough so that things, circumstances look so impossible that you just totally give up and throw in the towel?

No, you really can’t do that. He tells you, fear not. Why?

For I am with thee. So regardless what you are dealing with today, I am encouraging you, I’m building you up, I am beseeching you, stand by faith. Trust God, do not be moved by what you see or by your senses.

Amen. Yes, it is real. Yes, they say fear, fear, they have that acronym for fear.

But let me tell you, circumstances are real. Those tests are real. Things that you are looking at are real.

But I tell you what, so is God. So is the Most High God who is on the throne. So is Jesus right now, who is making intercession for you right now.

Right now, you have Jesus at the right hand of the throne of God, making intercessions for you. Praying and intercessing. You stand, don’t give up, don’t give in.

Amen. Open your mouth like I did. Say, Father, I speak this over that.

If your car has just been totaled, say, hmm, well, I guess that car wasn’t good enough. The God’s got that something better for me. Yeah, you walked out alive.

“You don’t have a scratch, but your car is total. But guess what? God got thousands of cars.

And guess what? Maybe the one that you had wasn’t good enough for you. So God is just simply, hey, maybe that job that you have that they let you go may not be.

God has something much better for you. Amen. We are out of time.

I’ll talk with you again on tomorrow.

The way you do.

Fear vs. Faith (Part 7): A Holy Fear That Builds Faith

Fear vs. Faith (Part 3): How Faith Overcomes Fear and Reclaims Power in Christ

We want to say happy Wednesday morning to our international Daily Word family members. I want to say God bless you, and this is another wonderful day that God has blessed us with. As we come before you this morning, we want to just give God the glory.

Father, forgive me of sin. As I come before your people, Father, to give the word of God that you have placed in my heart. Let the hearers be blessed.

We take authority over the demonic forces that will come to attack your people. But Father, through this word, let them receive how to take the word back to the enemy and defeat him and dominate. In Jesus’ name, we pray.

Amen. All right, family, you know, we are continuing with the question, why does the enemy want you to focus so hard on circumstances, trials and tests? And we covered a lot of things over the lessons over the past, but the one we’re focusing on now is because the enemy wants you to fall into fear.

And it’s real, real simple. It’s not complicated. You know, if he can get you in fear, then you simply are advocating the authority and power that you have through the powerful name of Jesus.

That’s right. Satan don’t want you to know that the kingdom of God is come nigh. That’s right.

You’re operating in kingdom principles. Remember, you are sons and daughters of the Most High God. Amen.

You were created in the image and likeness of God. You are somebody special. So, if the enemy can get you to operate in fear, then all of these powerful things that you have and that God has made provisions for you to operate in, you advocate them.

And therefore, you’re just walking around anxiety and worry and all this stuff like that. The enemy is just having a filled day. Remember, the Word of God says Satan is as a roaring lion, walking to and fro throughout the land, seeking who he may devour.

So, when you look at that, he’s really looking. He’s not omnipresent like God. He doesn’t know as much as people give him credit for.

People get it, all the devil did is the devil did that. Many times, it’s not the devil. It’s you opening your mouth and saying stupid stuff that you really shouldn’t say.

Speaking negative things about yourself or speaking negative things about your loved ones, opening your mouth, you literally can be cursing your own self. And Satan’s sitting back and laughing. I wasn’t even around.

But if he can plant the thought in your mind and get you to open your mouth and begin to say things and say things out of the will of God and out of context, amen, then you can begin to do more damage on yourself and the enemy has nothing to do with that. He doesn’t even have anything. We can be doing damage to our own self by speaking negative.

Oh, I’m catching this cold. Well, I think you just need to run a little bit faster. Amen.

I’m not letting any cold catch me. Amen. Watch what you’re saying.

Remember, we can advocate our authority with our mouth simply by speaking and saying the wrong things. Amen. But listen, we have authority through the name of Jesus.

I love in Luke, Jesus sent the disciples out, and he gave them specific orders and told them exactly what to do, what to say when they entered into a city. He gave them good orders. Go back and read it in the 10th chapter of Luke.

The thing that we love more is that when they returned, when they returned to Jesus, they were so excited. Those disciples were so excited, and amen. I know they’re excited.

I’ve been in those situations where I’ve prayed and saw God do miracles, and it is so, so very exciting. So in Luke 10 and 17, we note the fact that the 70 returned again. Remember, Jesus sent them out by twos to cities and all around.

Let them know the harvest is ripe, the labor is a few. Go out there and do everything in my name, and when you heal people, you tell those people after you lay hands in their heel that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. Listen, the 70 return with joy, the Bible says, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through your name.

You know what? That has not changed. The Word of God says he’s the same today, yesterday, and forevermore.

So the same way those disciples utilize and use the name of Jesus, letting them know that the kingdom of God has come nigh unto you, well, that hasn’t changed. The same way and the same way we operate in the same authority now. See?

So when they said that, the disciples were so very excited. And I love Jesus’ response in verse 18. Jesus said, y’all think that’s something?

Look, I beheld Satan as lightning falling from heaven. Whoa! So he came right back with that.

But then he turned around and told him, hey, that’s cool. But check this out. Behold.

Now, recognize this. Behold. I’ve given unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

So now you have authority just like I, you’ve seen me operate and you went out and you saw it in action and you have that authority and that power. And I’m giving you that to use. You use that because we’re dealing against forces that you’re gonna need my power and authority in order to operate, in order to continue to be victorious in every area of your life.

So you don’t have to walk in fear or torment because remember, I’ve given you that authority through the name of Jesus. At the name of Jesus, the Word of God says, every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess. So amen.

God knows that Satan and his demonic forces have a time and that they’re gonna be thrown in the lake of fire. But meanwhile, they’re creating havoc on this earth. So this is the authority that we have.

So this is the reason why the enemy want you to focus. If you focus on the negative things in your life, you’re not gonna be focusing on God or his blessings. Amen.

Note the word in James 4 and 7. It says, submit yourself therefore into God. Resist.

Resist. In other words, God wants you to give Satan. Satan needs to have a pushback.

Amen. He shouldn’t just roll up on you. Amen.

You need to push back. And what you have to push back is by submitting yourself. But when you submit, amen, that’s a voluntary act of surrender.

Amen. You’re submitting your will, your desires, and your authority to a higher power and authority. So that higher power authority is our most high God.

And so as we submit yourself therefore into God, and he says, resist the devil and he will flee. In other words, the enemy is going to recognize the authority and power because you’re submitting because of the fact is who you have backing you. What you have backing you is the forces of the most high God.

You have the kingdom of God backing you. So you have authority and power that is backing you. You’ve accepted or you’ve yielded to a superior force or to authority and your will to another.

And what you’ve yielded is your will to the most high God. And so therefore you have authority and you have backing. Now, once you do that, then you can drop down to verse four and eight, and it says, draw none to God.

Now, it’s not going to work if you’re not willing to submit yourself in to God, then you’re not going to be able to draw an eye into Him. No, no, because your whole heart, everything’s got to be all in as we left off yesterday. So as you submit, as you draw closer to God, then God’s going to go to you.

And with that comes a lot of benefits. As I shared in the lesson, there’s a blessing in obedience, simply by blessing, obedience. And then when you come to Him, you can’t come to Him dirty.

Sometimes you watch Judge Judy, and sometimes I watch her shows. And she said, you can’t come to court dirty with your unclean hands. And she always make this.

In other words, don’t ask me to adjudicate your case and come to find out you are wrong. And you’re wrong. And now you want me to render a verdict on a defendant, but you’re the plaintiff, and you’re coming to hear wrong.

So when we come before God, it doesn’t hurt you just to stoply simp, just like you hear me do every single time before I speak. You hear me say, God forgive me of sin. In other words, I recognize as a human being, every second of the day, you can do something wrong, your wrong thought, wrong motives, anything.

Listen, why even bother? Don’t have any pride to it. I don’t have any pride.

Lord, forgive me of sin. And I do this before I go to bed. I do it when I get up in the morning to pray.

Amen. I ask God to forgive me because, listen, I don’t want anything standing between me and God. When I come to God, amen, the word of God says, boldly come to the throne of grace that you may obtain mercy and find grace in your time of need.

So therefore, if I’m in a time of need, I don’t want the enemy who accuses the brother day and night to say, hold on, Lord. That brother just, ba ba ba ba ba. But now, if you come before the Lord and say, Lord, forgive me of sin, you just clear the slate.

The enemy, like, he get ready to stay, he get ready to open up. But Lord, and then Jesus who’s sitting at the right hand of the throne of God say, just hold your peace. That brother is clean.

He just ask forgiveness of sin. His sin is wiped away. So therefore, don’t walk in an attitude of pride.

Don’t get in pride and not submit yourself. Don’t get in pride and arrogance and think you’re so righteous before God and you have not even vowed or asked God to forgive you. Clear the slate so that when you draw an eye on to God, he’ll draw an eye on to you.

And then he says, cleanse your hands, ye sinners, and purify your hearts, ye devil-minded. So when you come to God, amen, and you submit yourself in to God, don’t submit yourself in to God, and then tomorrow you’re back out in the world, and next week when you get in trouble now, you’re back with God. People try to pimp God.

Yeah, they try to treat God like he’s a vending machine. I’ll go to God as long as I’m in trouble, like a jailhouse prayer. You know, as soon as they get out of jail, they forget everything they said to God and every promise they made.

Well, we’re out of time. I’ll be back with you tomorrow.

🎙️ Summary:
FEAR vs FAITH Pt. 3 – “Circumstances, Trials & Tests” reminds us not to surrender our authority by giving in to fear. The enemy uses trials to shift our focus away from God. But when we submit to God, resist the devil, and speak life, we walk in kingdom power. Through Jesus, we have divine authority to defeat the enemy and live free from fear, worry, and doubt.

🔑 3 Key Takeaways:

  1. Fear Weakens Authority – Fear causes us to give up the spiritual power God gave us.

  2. Watch Your Words – Speaking negatively gives the enemy a foothold.

  3. Submit & Resist – Submitting to God empowers us to resist the devil and stand in victory.
